Adding a mobile keycard to a new Android device:
Instructions for Building Managers:
- On the web, go to the user's profile.
- Delete the Digital Keycard on the profile.
Note: If an error occurs, please contact Cohesion's Customer Support.
- Have the user wait one hour, then have them configure their mobile keycard.
Instructions for Tenant Users:
Note: Please contact your Building Manager before continuing with the below steps.
Note: If you have already reset your old phone or do not have access to your old phone, please continue with the steps below. If an error occurs, please reach out to Cohesion's Customer Support.
- On your old phone, please delete the Cohesion app.
- This ensures that a new keycard will configure correctly to your new phone.
- On your new phone, please log into your existing account.
- Once logged in, please allow location services. To reach this, please go to Settings > Apps > Cohesion > Permissions > Location > Allow all the time.
- Location services allow you to use your mobile keycard when in the range of keycard readers.
- On the Home screen, select the digital keycard.
- On the keycard screen, select "Tap to Configure" to initialize your mobile keycard.
- Select "Continue" on "Credentials Found".
- During this process, you can swipe through the screens for an overview of how your mobile keycard works but do not close your app.
- When the initialization completes, select "Close." Your mobile keycard should now display as "On".
Note: Stay logged into the app and keep it open in the background. If your log out or quit the app, card readers may not detect the mobile keycard.
